Short Course in Garden Design
This course will help you acquire the skills to design and develop your own garden. The course is taught through a variety of presentations and fun exercises supported by comprehensive notes. Price £195.00, please book in advance, £50 deposit payable.
The course runs over a period of six sessions on Mondays, avoiding half term: 29th September, 6th, 13th and 27th October, 3rd and 10th November.

A ‘Spadeful’ More
If you have completed the ‘short course’ and would like to take your studies further: A ‘Spadeful’ More is for you: Price £195, please book in advance £50.00 deposit payable.
The course runs over a period of six sessions from 10am to 2.30pm, on Fridays, avoiding half term: 3rd, 10th, 17th and 31st October, 7th and 14th of November.
Yellow Book Event:
Helen’s Garden will be open again under the National Gardens Scheme in September - Wednesday 10th, Sunday 14th, and Wednesday 17th from 10am - 5.00pm. Events on certain days may include a children’s treasure trail and a sculpture sale. Light refreshments will be available.

Grow Things to Eat this Summer Holiday!
Suitable for ages 7-11. We will show your children how quick and easy many delicious vegetables and salads can be to grow and give them the satisfaction of growing their own. Lots of unusual ideas - growing radishes in guttering pipes and lettuce in bags - Full notes to take home so that more can be grown.

Creating a mini Desert Garden
Suitable for ages 7-11. A creative way for children to learn about plant adaptations by creating a miniature garden, to take home, which mirrors nature's conditions. The project gives children the opportunity to use found materials and make models appropriate to their garden.

Friends and Foes in the garden
Suitable for ages 7-11. A chance to learn about the beneficial animals and insects in the garden. Activities to show children how to create things to encourage the gardeners' friends and discourage the not so helpful.

Sculpture from the garden for the garden
Suitable for ages 7-11.
A hunt around the garden for natural materials which will then be transformed into all manner of imaginative sculptures to decorate the garden, including amazing flowers, wind charms and outrageous creatures.
